It isn't a call for genocide. It's a call for freedom, peace, and safety for Palestininans. The recent censure of Rashida Tlaib is absolutely disgusting. She is apparently the only person in the federal government with a heart and soul.
I've seen the drafts & recently proposed bills like "HAMAS Act" and "SAFE" Act- do you really think your cute acronyms hide what is really in there? We've all been reading them. I voice my strong opposition to any piece of legislation with language to target or expel Palestinian Americans and those with temporary status, any language that restricts or blocks humanitarian aid to be provided to occupied Palestine for any reason, and any other legislation ya'll decide to dream up to hurt Palestinians or give Israel more of my tax dollars.
I demand you call for an immediate ceasefire, the withdrawal of all U.S. troops from the area, all financial, intelligence, and military aid given to Israel to permanently cease, and for the billions you've taken to go instead to humanitarian relief in all of occupied Palestine to help them rebuild, care for the sick & injured, bury the dead with dignity, and ensure all of their basic needs are taken care of and are unable to be restricted by the Israeli government now and in the future.
The situation is beyond dire. The magnitude of human suffering is impossible to quantify. It has gone beyond comprehension.
I am begging you to put an end to this genocide.
