The brazen disrespect shown today to the democratically-elected leader of Ukraine, a nation courageously defending itself against Russia's unlawful invasion, is deeply concerning. Aligning with Putin's aggression and demanding concessions from the victim undermines America's standing as a force for freedom and sovereignty. This erodes our global credibility and emboldens authoritarian regimes. I urge an unwavering commitment to supporting Ukraine's self-defense and territorial integrity, reinforcing democratic values over naked self-interest. Failure to do so jeopardizes the international rules-based order and risks enabling further conflicts that threaten world peace.
