Good morning. It was bad enough when POTUS appointed a non-citizen, Elon Musk- to a made-up position of power. It was worse when he allowed that man to hire a bunch of untrained and unqualified people to man his DOGE office. It was disgusting when he allowed- with Trump’s blessing, no less- these unqualified people to use AI to purposely identify and fire people and departments that AI believed were threats to the president’s power grab. And it was beyond the pale when two of those people gave interviews admitting to using very specific verbiage to identify very specific marginalized groups for defunding.
However, finding out NOW- a year and a half after the fact- that these unqualified and untrained individuals who had NO SECURITY CLEARANCE were also given access to American citizen’s health records, bank information, employment and wage histories, and social security records is beyond the pale. And worse yet- and yes, it does get worse- DOGE signed a data sharing agreement with a private election denying political group, so ALL of our private records were compromised and shared!
Since when is this okay? HIPAA alone should have contradicted these actions, but apparently friends of POTUS- even the ones who aren’t citizens of the U.S.- are immune to the laws intended to keep Americans safe and secure.
