I’m writing to urge the Senator to support abolishing the Senate filibuster so Congress can break free from obstruction and gridlock and enact important legislation needed to secure our democracy. The filibuster hasn’t always been a part of our legislative process, it was never intended by the authors of our Consitution. It’s now being used in bad-faith to obstruct the progress of legislation that’s passed the House with bipartisan support, legislation that often has the majority support Americans. It’s beyond time that this barrier to progress be removed.
