No Excuse for a Continuing Budget Resolution with Known Fraud

I am writing to express my frustration over Congress’s failure to pass a responsible budget and the continued reliance on Continuing Resolutions (CRs). This is not leadership—it is avoidance.
Congress is responsible for passing 12 appropriations bills each year, yet instead of fulfilling this duty, another CR is being pushed through to extend funding, even as billions in waste and fraud have been publicly acknowledged.
With Republicans controlling both chambers, there is no excuse for failing to pass a real budget. You cannot blame the Democrats—this is your majority, your responsibility. If spending is out of control, why hasn’t it been fixed through proper budgeting instead of another stopgap measure?
President Trump has claimed “hundreds of billions” in fraud have been found. If true:
• How can Congress legally approve a CR funding known fraudulent spending?
• Doesn’t this make lawmakers complicit in mismanaging taxpayer dollars?
• Shouldn’t Congress be obligated to remove this waste before approving further funding?
Trump also bragged about canceling $881 million in grants—money that could help fund Medicaid. If these cuts were about fiscal responsibility, why is fraud still being funded?
I understand that following a leader who is stripping rights, tanking the economy, and demanding loyalty puts you in a difficult position. Trying to please him while watching the country’s financial collapse and still needing to win your next election must be exhausting. But at some point, you have to ask yourself: Is it worth it?
How long can you continue supporting policies that harm American families and weaken our democracy? When does loyalty to one man take a back seat to your duty to the American people?
Take Action – No More Excuses
I urge you to:
1. Reject any CR that funds known fraudulent programs.
2. Hold hearings to eliminate wasteful spending.
3. Pass a real budget instead of another stopgap measure.
Americans are tired of excuses, blame games, and chaos. If fraud exists, it must be removed before another dollar is spent—not excused through another CR.
