Greetings. I am a voting constituent in rural west Texas.
Wow. Senator Cornyn. Way to prove a point. That tenderloin pic you tweeted is to die for. Meaning a lot of us would die to be able to afford such at this particular time in our nation’s history.
I guess you and your other GOP grinches, I mean cronies, are correct when you say a lot of Americans don’t need any extra help from a government handout right now.
This is tone deaf to the nth degree. Beyond callous. Who exactly would you be tweeting such a pic to? And for what purpose?
Seriously. Why don’t you just go ahead and tweet a pic of your bank statement. Or a pic of the cash under your mattress. Or your full-to-the-brim pantry and refrigerator.
(And to top it all off, I expect you’ll have a vaccine for dessert. We here in Mason have signed up for a waiting list. Wanna wager how long we’ll be waiting?)
Tweeting food porn in the time of endless food bank lines. Of people being evicted. Of unemployment numbers through the roof. Of chaos, confusion, incompetence, and disastrous handling of the Covid pandemic. Of an unparalleled lack of federal leadership.
And this is what you tweet.
You seriously couldn’t have proven the GOP disconnect between yourselves and the majority of America any more clearly.
You should be ashamed. But I expect you’re not.
