Vote No on ICE Funding Until Accountability Is Implemented

ICE agents reportedly crashed their vehicle into Christina Rank, a 25-year-old paraprofessional at a special education school in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota, then arrested her, broke her car window, and detained her for 12 hours. Witnesses and video footage dispute agents’ claims that she caused the collision, and her family reports she was held without information or communication.
This incident occurred near a school with children present and should have been handled as a traffic accident — not an arrest. It reflects a broader pattern of reckless escalation and lack of accountability when civilians are harmed by federal enforcement.
I urge you to vote no on funding for ICE until meaningful reforms, training, and enforceable accountability measures are implemented, including independent investigations and clear limits on use of force. This has to end.
