I hope this letter finds you well. As one of your constituents who voted for you, I am both saddened and shocked by the lack of care you have shown toward the people of Texas. I have written several letters to your office expressing my concerns, only to receive responses that bear no relation to the issues I raised. It is clear to me that your office—if not you personally-has not taken the time to address the matters that matter most to your constituents. This lack of effort is disheartening.
Why is this the case? Why should we continue to vote for someone who does not seem to care about the issues affecting Texas and the United States? I am particularly disturbed by your willingness to support the raising of the debt ceiling, despite the long-term financial consequences it could have on the American people.
Furthermore, your failure to hold Donald Trump accountable and your apparent indifference to the damage he is causing to the Constitution is deeply troubling. His actions have not only caused significant harm domestically, but they have also severely damaged our image around the world. We are seen as less trustworthy and more divisive, and that reflects poorly on every American, including those of us who seek leadership based on integrity and respect for the rule of law.
It feels as though the Republican Party has lost its way, with no one standing up for the principles that once guided it. It is frustrating to see leaders who should be setting an example instead letting divisive and dangerous rhetoric continue unchecked.
As a Texans and voters, we deserve a representative who listens to the people and takes action on their behalf, not one who dismisses concerns and enables actions that undermine the integrity of our country.
