Pick a side and take back the country

According to Trump and the GOP at large, being an American means being born here, preferably white, and believing in the suppression of voices that don’t agree with a Christian nationalist agenda. According to democrats, being an American means: Being an asset to our community Helping where help is needed Acknowledging every person’s beliefs and their rights to have them Welcoming every culture and race and religion Not asking for assimilation into a made up idea of what it means to be American Feeding the hungry Providing shelter to the unhoused Supporting local businesses Sharing resources Offering the best of who we are and what we have to others Welcoming strangers Embracing people for who they are at a fundamental level Being the village Educating everyone Providing healthcare Supporting others rights to live and love how they please There are clear and present divides. One is oppressive and one is American. Pick a side and let’s take back our country!
