Build Back Better

Hello, As one of your constituents I would sincerely like to see you support all climate change action and the Build Back Better plan. Time is running out for us to act and reverse the damage we have caused. As a mother and hopeful grandparent, I want to leave this world a better place for the next generations and to me that means undoing the damage caused by us and the generations before us. We desperately need improvements to our infrastructure that will simultaneously reduce our carbon footprint, create jobs and provide clean energy. They say "if it ain't broke, don't fix it", but we are broken. Our systems are broken. Even our government works to funnel money up to the big corporations and billionaires instead of working to serve and protect the people they represent. We should be addressing these issues like our hair is on fire or we will go out the way of the dinosaurs. As I write this, it is a 70 degree day in South Dakota and it is December. I can't remember the last time we got any meaningful precipitation but I can remember the forest fires that plagued the West, the flooding in the South, the extreme weather... well, Everywhere. If this continues, there will be food shortages, water shortages, rolling power outages, and this will contour to cause massive migrations of people looking for opportunities and resources which will create a continued strain on current resources and a real Homeland Security issue. I'm just saying, think Big Picture here. No one is coming to save us. We have to roll up our sleeves, pull up our boot straps and get dirty. No more
