Tax the Wealthy to Fund Medicaid and Food Assistance

The House voted to cut Medicaid benefits for 13 million Americans, and to cut food assistance for 11 million Americans. Why are people living in abject poverty more financially responsible for the deficit than the billionaires who don't pay taxes? Putting a tax back on wealthy Americans, who benefit from the labor and consumption of the people this tax bill hurts the most, would pay for these programs and more fare more quickly than cutting Medicaid will. Tax the wealthy and bring back Medicaid benefits!
