I am writing as your constituent to ask you to call for a full and lasting ceasefire in Gaza.
While the brief pause in bombings allowed for the entry of limited humanitarian aid, it has been nowhere near what is needed to address the scope and severity of the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza.
A recent poll found that 68% of all American voters support a ceasefire in Gaza. 80% of Democrats, 56% of Republicans, and 57% of Independents support a ceasefire. Only 31% of voters support sending weapons to Israel. Despite this overwhelming support for a ceasefire among voters, President Biden has refused to call for a permanent ceasefire.
Please take every step you can to save Palestinian lives by pushing for a permanent ceasefire.
