Here's the letter body:
The "One Big Beautiful Bill" threatens to reverse the progress made in expanding clean energy solutions like solar power that are critical for addressing climate change. I strongly oppose this bill's plan to abruptly eliminate the Investment Tax Credit and financing programs for solar projects, as it would destabilize the industry, jeopardize thousands of jobs, and undermine America's energy independence. This ill-advised move comes at a time when demand for electricity is surging; solar offers the most cost-effective and rapidly deployable solution and the tax incentives spread the financial burden and help more citizens engage in our urgent need to move away from carbon dioxide emitting energy sources. If need be, a more gradual phase-out would allow the solar industry to adapt while preserving our energy resilience and ability to mitigate climate impacts.
An affordable, reliable, sustainable, and climate-friendly energy future is at stake. I strongly urge the reconsideration of this bill's provisions and the maintenance of policies that foster growth in the vital solar energy sector to combat climate change. Vote no on reconciliation bill
