Accountability under the 14th Amendment is urgent.

It isn't enough to wait for all the resignations. And the evaders in the Cabinet of a vote on the 25th Amendment is a terrible missed opportunity to restore norms of democracy. We must have indictments and prosecutions of the insurrectionists including and especially those within the ranks of the Congress. As you are aware, the Fourteenth Amendment Section 3 reads: "No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any state, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any state legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any state, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof." Congress must now resolve that "domestic terrorists" are enemies of the State, and to direct the DOJ to act to enforce the law accordingly. I am asking you to make that resolution without any further delay, and to work with each of your colleagues ushering invocation of the 25th to get that done, in tandem. The next authoritarian executive will wreak far more havoc, cost even more lives, and be far less stupid.
