Gov. Abbott Please Urge President Trump to Unfreeze NIH Funding

Texas research institutions face a serious loss of funding from the White House's NIH freeze. Congress seems intent on letter Trump illegally block funding that is already approved. 22 Democratic states have sued the Trump administration and a federal judge has blocked the freeze for those states. The Texas economy is driven by innovation, and university research is key to that innovation. It affects places like the Houston Med Center and the big colleges like UT and A&M, but also Texas Tech's medical research center, Angelo State University, and other state research colleges. Please urge President Trump to unfreeze funding and restore it to the previous levels to protect Texas innovation.
