Kash Patel Buried a Murder Investigation. Congress Must Act Now

A credible whistleblower has told the Senate Judiciary Committee that FBI Director Kash Patel ordered forensic agents to stand down from processing the scene where Renee Good was killed, because he didn’t want her called a “victim” in the warrant. Good, a 37-year-old mother of three and U.S. citizen, was shot and killed by an ICE agent in Minneapolis on January 7. Patel wanted her reframed as a suspect, a version of events directly contradicted by video evidence. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension tried to investigate independently and was shut out by the FBI. Nineteen federal prosecutors have since resigned from the Minnesota U.S. Attorney’s Office rather than participate in the cover-up. Senators Whitehouse and Durbin have asked the DOJ Inspector General to investigate who ordered the civil rights probe closed. I’m asking you to publicly support that investigation, demand Patel testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee under oath, and co-sponsor legislation requiring an independent use-of-force investigation any time a federal agent kills a civilian.
