I am writing to urge you to initiate impeachment proceedings against Attorney General Pam Bondi. Her conduct demonstrates corruption, political subservience to President Donald Trump, and a blatant disregard for the principle that the Department of Justice must remain independent from presidential power.
Under Attorney General Bondi, the Department of Justice has ceased functioning as an independent institution. It has become a political weapon—shielding the president while pursuing retaliatory and frivolous cases against his perceived enemies. This is incompatible with a functioning democracy.
Most alarming is the ongoing cover-up surrounding the Epstein files. The failure to fully release and transparently investigate these records—while claiming concern for victims—has destroyed public trust. These crimes involved children. Accountability is not optional. The refusal to act decisively and independently is, by itself, sufficient grounds for impeachment.
Attorney General Bondi’s conduct during congressional hearings has further underscored her unfitness for office. She has repeatedly spread misinformation, evaded accountability, and openly attacked members of Congress. Such behavior is appalling for any public servant, let alone the nation’s chief law enforcement officer.
While other countries are investigating and holding accountable those connected to Epstein, the United States is falling behind. We should be leading this effort, not obstructing it. Justice must not depend on wealth, power, or political loyalty.
Our democracy cannot survive if the Department of Justice answers to a president rather than the Constitution. The rule of law demands independence, transparency, and accountability. Attorney General Pam Bondi has failed on all three counts.
I urge Congress to act immediately. This must end.
