Reject Gabbard's Unfit Intelligence Nomination Over Policy Failings

I strongly oppose the confirmation of Tulsi Gabbard as Director of National Intelligence. Her disturbing track record of defending authoritarian leaders like Bashar al-Assad and Vladimir Putin, while dismissing credible intelligence about their human rights abuses, is completely unacceptable for someone nominated to lead the U.S. intelligence community. Her proposal to drop charges against Edward Snowden, who illegally leaked classified information, further demonstrates her lack of regard for protecting sensitive intelligence. Gabbard's introduction of legislation to repeal vital foreign intelligence collection authorities under Section 702 of FISA raises serious doubts about her commitment to robust national security policies. Additionally, her history of echoing Kremlin disinformation to justify Russia's unprovoked invasion of Ukraine directly contradicts the consensus assessments from U.S. intelligence agencies. Gabbard's extreme policy positions make her unfit to objectively advise the President on intelligence matters or oversee the $76.5 billion intelligence budget. Her confirmation would severely undermine the integrity and effectiveness of the entire intelligence community. I urge you to reject her nomination.
