Greetings. I am a voting constituent in rural west Texas.
I have a question for my senator who is on the Senate Finance Committee.
How is it that a small team of barely out of high school hackers, employed by the richest man in the world, who for all intents and purposes helped buy himself a president, can be given access to the country’s checkbook and all the personal info of its citizens that goes along with that access?
They’re not even federal employees. Do they even have security clearances? Do they have the expertise and the knowledge to rummage through the info they now have complete and total access to?
What is it exactly that they are doing?
What if they decide, given their broad directive to cut any waste, (determined by god knows what) to push a button and do away with all social safety nets?
They seem to be systematically destroying every agency they touch, without any pushback from the GOP that I can see.
Can you stop them? Will you stop them?
Regardless of how you may spin it, and you surely will, we are experiencing a coup in real time. There’s nothing else to call it. The trust of the American people has been turned over to a subversive element led by a guy who has too much time on his hands and enough money to be able to amuse himself with the health and well-being of American citizens. And call it efficiency, done for our own good.
While the president sits back in approval, believing his hands will be clean of any responsibility.
In the space of a couple of weeks we have been shown the fragility of our system of government. It can be demolished before our eyes. All it takes is for those in power to give that power away to the wrong people.
