Protect hemp farmers in North Carolina.

As a resident of North Carolina, I am writing to ask for your support of Senate Bill 265 and to urge you to vote NO on House Bill 328. SB265 is a critical step toward protecting North Carolina’s hemp farmers, small businesses, and the broader agricultural economy. This bill provides needed regulatory clarity and preserves access to federally legal hemp-derived products that support jobs, wellness, and innovation in our state. In contrast, HB328 would impose harsh restrictions that threaten to devastate our local hemp industry, undermine years of responsible farming and entrepreneurship, and eliminate access to safe, regulated hemp products that many North Carolinians rely on. North Carolina’s hemp sector has created opportunities for small farmers and rural communities. Overregulating or criminalizing hemp now would roll back that progress and push businesses—many of them family-owned—out of the state or out of business entirely. Please stand with our farmers, protect consumer choice, and support smart, science-based hemp policy. Support SB265 and vote NO on HB328. Thank you for your service and leadership.
