Protect PNW shellfish: critical scientists fired & every oyster dies w/o ACTION

RESIST!!! PNW shellfish are in danger — Elon just fired the entire USDA ARS pacific shellfish team at the Hatfield lab in Newport, OR. This team does all the research for the aquacultural industry on the pacific coast. This loss will HALT ALL RESEARCH FOR PACIFIC AQUACULTURE! There is a herpes virus that is spreading from New Zealand that wiped their shellfish industry out for several years. Without this research team, we have NO PROTECTION against this virus wiping out every shellfish farm on the pacific coast. The entire team will dissolve without probationary employees, the lead scientist is probationary — after spending the last 18 months waiting for this federal job to be confirmed, then relocating his family from MD to OR.
