Stop Local Governments From Banning Renewable Energy

I am writing to urge you to pass legislation to stop local governments from limiting, and/or banning, clean renewable energy. Only three states - New York, California and Illinois - have passed this kind of legislation. Unfortunately, state action is necessary as these local decisions are often based on misleading or false information. As our state grapples with the realities of climate change, it is necessary for statewide participation in clean renewable energy. The need for fossil fuel production must decrease, and one of the major solutions is natural resources - wind and solar energy. Not only are these clean resources beneficial to the environment, they also will provide better air quality for our citizens. Please take necessary steps now to prevent local governments from limiting, or banning, wind and solar energy construction. Thank you for helping our country meet net zero emissions by 2050.
