The Trump administration, just in its first week, has violated federal law by firing inspector generals; successfully pushed through a dangerously unqualified, abusive drunk as the head of the most powerful military in the history of the world; and assaulted civil rights on multiple levels.
STAND UP TO HIM. It doesn’t matter if there aren’t immediate legislative actions that can be taken, stories, symbols and voices matter. Right now, AOC is the only person who is telling the story well.
You need to be a vocal, strong presence for what is right. We need the Democrats to tell a compelling story of resistance. A rejection of the trajectory we are on. Ongoing quiescence will not go well at midterms.
Please stand strong and recognize the real possibility that a failure to act could have catastrophic consequences.
