I am writing today to urge you to protect America’s future by voting against the Senate version of the budget reconciliation bill. Student Loan Forgiveness should not be used as a bargaining chip for tax cuts for corporations and a few wealthy individuals. Capping federal student aid and eliminating PLUS loan programs (designed to cover education expenses not covered by other financial aid) will harm the future of those wishing to further their education.  We need experts in our communities to provide services that we all benefit from.  An educated citizenry is needed for a flourishing democracy.
