WHY IS TRUMP UNWILLING TO PUT OUT THE FIRE HE STARTED?

Thanks in part to the president’s own actions, the Epstein affair has moved from political problem to cultural phenomenon.
Just ask South Park.
Because Trump refuses to release the voluminous Epstein files in the possession of government agencies he has complete control over, and has continued to sow doubt and distrust of his version of their relationship, open season has been declared on every front.
Except maybe Fox.
But real solutions to clear up anything remain out of reach for some reason…
A Democratic senator been investigating Epstein’s finances for at least three years.
The NYT reported that “Some members of his staff have viewed confidential files that shed light on the immense sums of money that, they say, Mr. Epstein moved through the banking system to fuel his vast sex-trafficking network.”
Banks flagged more than $1.5 billion in transactions involving Epstein. They included “thousands of wire transfers for the purchase and sale of artwork for rich friends, fees paid to Mr. Epstein by wealthy individuals, and payments to numerous women.”
Intrigued yet?
Senate staffers were given very limited access to Treasury documents when they visited the agency and were only permitted to take handwritten notes. But they walked away with some key information:
The largest SAR (Suspicious Activity Report) was filed by JPMorgan in late 2019 and involved a transaction of $1.1 billion.
That report covered 4,700 transactions dating to 2003, including payments to women from Belarus, Russia, and Turkmenistan. (Where many of Epstein’s victims came from.)
Deutsche Bank filed the second largest for about $400 million. Other sizable reports were filed by Bank of New York Mellon for $378 million and Bank of America, which filed reports on billionaire investor Leon Black’s $158 million in payments to Epstein, reportedly for tax and estate planning services.
Reality says that if one wants hard info on Jeffrey Epstein, read the reports and follow the money. That sort of documentation will reveal far more than a couple of grand jury transcripts, the only thing Trump has offered to make public. Which he no doubt knew the courts would shoot down.
If Trump really wanted to honor his commitment to release Epstein reports, this is what he would be sharing with his followers. Senator Wyden can’t make all of the papers public.
But the Trump administration can.
And apparently executors of Epstein’s estate are in possession of the infamous birthday book. A source told MSNBC that anyone interested in seeing the book could simply reach out to Epstein’s executors, and If they didn’t just voluntarily turn over the book out of fear of reprisal, Congress could issue a subpoena to their attorneys.
Nobody would have to guess. You would immediately have the answers. You could flip to the page. Is there a letter, is there not a letter?
So to answer the question, “Are people still talking about this guy, this creep?"…absolutely yes.
