We want a permanent ceasefire. You cannot advocate for freedom, humanity, and peace and in the same breath endorse the genocide of Palestinians. Since Oct 7, over 14,000 Palestinians have been killed by the Israeli government under the guise of targeting Hamas, a group that does not represent all Palestinian people. Prime Minister Netanyahu has made it clear that his administration’s intention is the erasure of Palestinians. Our tax dollars are funding this genocide which makes this government complicit in this genocide. It is not too late to demand a permanent ceasefire and demand a political solution instead of a military solution. More bloodshed will only beget more bloodshed. We need a permanent ceasefire so Palestinian people can rebuild their homes and communities and begin to heal. We need a permanent ceasefire because that also ensures Israeli civilian and Jewish safety.
