Cruelty seems to be the whole motivation of the Trump administration. I read with sadness about the thousands of young altruistic people who want to serve our nation and our people as federal employees. Park rangers, soldiers, scientists, naturalists, economists, mine safety experts, FAA safety folks, epidemic disease monitors, foreign aid clinic staff etc.. who have lost their jobs through no fault of their own and are being insulted and defamed by being told the reason for their firing is poor performance when there reviews by their managers were glowing. They have uprooted their lives and taken on expenses to establish themselves in these positions only to be mercilessly undercut and chucked to the curb like so much trash. Just think if this was your child or your spouse or a close friend who is now trying to figure out how to survive with no income, no healthcare and no security. How many suicides will result from the economic despair. How many families will become homeless. How many will have to rely on government benefits instead of an honest wage because of the insane cuts. It is against the law for this to happen. Impoundment of fund appropriated by congress is illegal. You, by standing down without a whimper are complicit in the crime that is unfolding before us. The public will awaken to the evil that is being done and will hold you to account. Please, before it is too late, do your duty to the great state of Norrh Carolina and stop this madness.
