Stop ICE and DHS From Using Bounty Hunters to Track People

183 so far! Help us get to 250 signers!

Stop ICE and DHS from using bounty hunters to track people in our communities. This practice is illegal, and I expect you to fight to end it — introduce legislation, demand an investigation, and use every tool available to you to shut it down now. Deputizing private bounty hunters to hunt people is not law enforcement. It is vigilantism funded by taxpayers, and it puts every person in our community at risk — not just the targets. These are our neighbors, our coworkers, the people our kids go to school with. When unaccountable private actors are given the power to detain and track people, due process doesn't just get bent — it gets shattered. No federal agency gets to operate above the law, and no administration gets to decide consequences don't apply to them. This is happening in our state, in our communities, right now. I need to know you are actively fighting this — not issuing statements, not waiting for the courts. Fight for what is right.
