An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Demand Accountability for Missing 47,635 Epstein Files

4 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

The Department of Justice's recent admission that 47,635 files related to Jeffrey Epstein were removed from official records represents a catastrophic failure of institutional responsibility. These documents, which reportedly include allegations involving former President Trump and other high-profile figures, are central to ongoing investigations and public accountability. Their disappearance demands immediate congressional action. The deliberate removal of nearly 50,000 documents from a case of national significance raises serious questions about obstruction of justice and institutional integrity. The DOJ has a legal obligation to preserve and produce all files related to federal investigations, particularly those involving potential crimes against minors and sex trafficking. This failure violates the public trust and undermines the rule of law. I am writing to urge you to support impeachment proceedings against DOJ leadership responsible for this breach. The scale of this failure, involving tens of thousands of documents, suggests either gross negligence or intentional misconduct. Either scenario warrants removal from office. The American people deserve answers about who authorized the removal of these files, when it occurred, and what safeguards failed to prevent it. Congress has both the authority and the responsibility to hold executive branch officials accountable when they fail to uphold their duties. The missing Epstein files represent potential evidence in ongoing criminal matters and civil litigation. Their removal may have obstructed justice and denied victims their right to accountability. I urge you to call for immediate hearings to investigate this matter, demand full restoration of all missing files with verification of their authenticity, and pursue impeachment of any DOJ officials found responsible for this failure. The integrity of our justice system depends on officials who preserve evidence rather than destroy it. This situation demands the strongest possible congressional response.
