Greetings. I am a voting constituent in rural west Texas.
Oh my. After the first day of the rest of our lives began yesterday, with hope, with inspiration, with a true sense of American patriotism and can-do attitude (and competency!) once more on the horizon, what do I get to read about first thing this a.m?
One of my Texas senators, who I guess woke up and decided to keep on the same old tired, heartily rejected, yesterday’s news, Trump-train decided he’s had enough of the GOP’s short-lived bleat about the dangers of political divisiveness, moving on, and unity for the good of the country.
Yep, we’ve rejoined the Paris climate accord. Like any sane country who might be concerned with the imminent death of our planet by unbreathable air.
Disingenuous man. As has been rightly pointed out, your regurgitating of a premiere Trump dis of Paris vs Pittsburgh is rich. You sure didn’t seem too terribly concerned about Pittsburgh as you were recently trying to disenfranchise as many of their votes as possible.
Your horse is dead. You should really stop beating it.
And since we all saw you in the inaugural crowd yesterday, this makes your attempt to stay relevant even more pitiful. People don’t like two-faced. And you don’t seem to have the political skills necessary to make such duplicity work.
I send this letter to all my congressmen to let them all know how some of their constituents feel about such obvious pandering for all the wrong reasons.
The GOP needs to regain some dignity and regard for American Democracy or you will become a party led by lies, liars, and wanna-be seditionists.
It should be as important for you to purge your own ranks of an actual danger to our democracy as it was for you to purge an election fraud claim that never materialized.
I predict the same ol BS y’all keep trying to fling ain’t gonna work as well this time around.
We’re sick of being outraged.
