Please consider forcing natural gas suppliers to winterize.
Some electric power plants need natural gas. If the power plant is winterized but the infrastructure to supply gas is NOT, we still have a problem. Natural gas supply is also critical for home heating. Consider the reports that the main line into the neighborhood was reported to be dropping down to 3 or 4 PSI at times. The meter regulator is marked at 15 PSI, implying the main supply is normally greater than that. This likely goes back to stories that the natural gas pump stations are not successfully marked as critical infrastructure, and I’ve seen stories that a number of them were being shut down in the rolling blackouts. And according to someone I know who worked in the industry, those pump stations take about 24 hours to restart. This is totally unacceptable. We need ALL energy providers, gas and electric, to be required to properly winterize equipment.
