US Resident Sent to a CECOT Torture Prison by “Mistake” While the U.S. Shrugs

I am writing in utter disbelief and disgust. The federal government has ADMITTED it deported Kilmar Abrego Garcia—a LEGAL U.S. RESIDENT and father of a disabled child—to El Salvador due to an ADMINISTRATIVE ERROR. He had a court-issued protective order. He fled gang violence. Yet ICE ignored all of that, stripped him of due process, and sent him to CECOT, a prison internationally condemned for inhumane treatment—a de facto death camp. Our courts are now being told they have NO POWER to undo this. That’s not law. That’s a total COLLAPSE OF DEMOCRACY. This is not just another scandal out of this barely 80-day-old administration—it is a HUMAN LIFE stolen and destroyed. If Mr. Abrego Garcia was deported under the Alien Enemies Act—a law historically weaponized in wartime—then those responsible should be investigated not just for KIDNAPPING AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING, but FOR POTENTIAL WAR CRIMES. Our government cannot invoke wartime powers against its own residents without crossing a line into authoritarianism. Once again, Vice President JD Vance lied publicly, claiming Mr. Abrego Garcia was a “convicted MS-13 gang member.” He has NO CONVICTIONS. Karoline Leavitt also lied again and added to the deception, claiming to have seen “evidence” that was never presented in court. These LIES are part of a propaganda effort to cover up an act of STATE-SPONSORED CRUELTY. Our government has confessed to destroying a man’s life and now says it’s powerless to bring him back. That is UNACCEPTABLE. Those involved in this atrocity—from the officers to the government officials who signed off—must face real legal consequences. If we can’t get this man back, then they should serve life in CECOT prison. How many more legal or innocent human beings were sent there like this? How many families have we shattered? You must demand answers. We must undo this inhumane act.
