An open letter to the U.S. Senate

Do not confirm Tulsi Gabbard as DNI

17 so far! Help us get to 25 signers!

I urge you to vote against confirming Tulsi Gabbard as Director of National Intelligence. Her testimony and history suggest that she is unqualified for a trusted leadership position or that she has been compromised by foreign actors — possibly both. Our nation should have a DNI who is qualified and fully trusted by our intelligence professionals. Ms. Gabbard is not such a person. She could potentially endanger our intelligence agencies and national security. Furthermore, it is entirely likely that our allies will no longer entrust some sensitive information to the USA out of concern for this leadership. This would badly hinder some of our activities against espionage and terrorism. Hundreds, if not thousands, of qualified individuals could be selected to serve in this role, even if a political filter is used in their appointment. It would be an insult to our intelligence professionals and potentially a threat to our national security to confirm Tulsi Gabbard as DNI. I strongly urge you to do the right thing and reject her nomination.
