Inspect ALL biohazard incineration services taking place in our state.

State laws protect those who die in our state. How are we enforcing these laws when it comes to ICE Detainment Centers and GEO Group or Core Civic prison facilities in our state? The Federal government has been purchasing “biohazard-incineration services” through a $45+BILLION military bypass system called WEXMAS-TITUS (Worldwide Expeditionary Multiple Award Contract-Territorial Integrity of the United States) to place in ICE “detainment centers” —or concentration camps—across the United States. At the same time, the Federal government is detaining our neighbors without due process and moving them across state lines without declaring who they are or whether or not they are legally detained. If a “biohazard incineration service” is deployed in our state by a Federal Agency, our States laws now should have legal jurisdiction over that “service” and all Federal actors should abide by State laws as well as Federal Laws. Can you as our elected State officials guarantee that every single use of this “service” meets the Constitutional standards of our State? Are State-mandated inspections taking place right now in our state for all equipment positioned in our state including ICE “detainment centers” or private prisons run by Geo Group or Core Civic? There was a time not so long ago when bodies were dumped in mass unmarked graves in darker parts of our history when America was “not so great.” There was also a time almost a hundred years ago when a fascist government (NAZI Germany) used “biohazard incineration” to dispose of humans after detaining them under similar circumstances to what we are witnessing today. (ICE currently houses over 70,000 humans without Constitutional due process. How many of them are currently detained in our state? How many are being treated humanely?) Now our Federal government is spending around $45B for inhumane actions against our neighbors without due process and PURPOSEFULLY without legal transparency. Many of these people have disappeared. Some have died. And now the Federal government refuses to be accountable for their deaths—or their remains. What are YOU doing as our State officials to verify how these “biohazard incineration services” are being used? Since Federal Agencies refuse to clarify with integrity and transparency whom they detain and where each person is housed during that detainment, isn’t it now the State’s responsibility to abide by its own laws in its own jurisdiction? If the Federal government is not abiding by Constitutional law on Federal land within the jurisdiction of our State, what emergency measures can our State Legislation create to protect our citizens and our neighbors who have lost legal status by unconstitutional changes made unlawfully by our current administration? Perhaps the “biohazard incineration services” ARE being used in the same manner as we expect at local hospitals and health facilities. Shouldn’t the same standards of inspection be applied for any facilities provided under the very suspicious “authority” of WEXMAS-TITUS?
