USA realign with rules of international order

The United States' vote against the United Nations resolution condemning Russia's war in Ukraine represents a disturbing shift away from standing with our European allies and democratic values. An unjustified invasion to seize territory by force goes against principles of sovereignty and self-determination that the US has long upheld. A lasting peace requires Russia to end its aggression and withdraw from Ukraine. The United States must realign itself with our partners who uphold the rules-based international order and human rights. Unchecked territorial aggression by an authoritarian power undermines global stability and security.
