We urge you to PASS the Department of Education Protection Act. This Act will help stop the destruction of the U.S. Department of Education. After the recent U.S. Supreme Court decision, the Trump administration has begun dismantling the U.S. Department of Education, including mass layoffs and reductions to its core responsibilities. The Department of Education plays a crucial role in: -Enforcing laws in schools; -Administering Title I funding; -Supporting special education and mental health services; -Ensuring accountability and fairness in public education nationwide. The Department of Education Protection Act would prohibit any funds from being used to dismantle or decentralize the department’s structure or mission. This safeguard is essential to upholding our national commitment to public education. Please stand up for students, educators, and families, and protect the Department of Education and the rights of students nationwide.
