An open letter to the U.S. Senate

Support the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Act (S.4263)

The right to vote is one of the most valuable constitutional rights granted to most Americans. The inequities in access to voting have gotten only more apparent with time, and that is just as much of a threat to our democracy as the January 6th insurrection was. That is why I am reaching out to ask you to support S.4263 John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act that stalled in the Senate after its passage by the House over a year ago. This is one of the most important ways to protect our democracy, and it should have support no matter what your political affiliation is—everyone deserves access to their right to vote.
