Increase state SNAP benefits to help Florida working families bridge the gap

The working poor deserve to be helped, not abandoned. With the federal cut to SNAP benefits more Florida workers will be struggling to feed their children. Florida already has one of the lowest allowance of food assistance in the nation. Food costs are rising at the grocery stores and wages have not kept up. Working people are already doing their best to provide for their families. Many have been dropped from the SNAP rolls yet their income & expenses haven't changed. Florida needs to make up the gap that the federal government has left us. Our working low income families need our help to provide nutritious food for their children. The food banks & pantries are stretched thin and cannot make up the difference these federal cuts have left us.
