An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Stop ICE from Detaining Legal Immigrants- Return John Shin to his Family

3 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

John Shin, a DACA recipient who married a US citizen and is three years into the five year process for his citizenship paperwork, is a prominent Utah violinist who was recently detained by ICE and removed to a Colorado detention center. His family has heard nothing from him since his arrest. These unlawful detentions have to stop. Congress must take a stand, and defend the people of this country against Trump's war on the non-white residents of this country. Immigrants who are in the middle of the legal process to attain citizenship should not be getting arrested and deported, and Congress needs to make it stop. John Shin is just one example of the deep wrong our country is doing to our legal immigrants, but please look into his detention and get him back to his family.
