An open letter to the U.S. House of Representatives

Require the credit bureaus to pay fines when they put people's credit at risk.

Earlier this year, Equifax's "coding glitch," affected the credit scores of millions of Americans. Congress needs to act to protect consumers from the big three national credit bureaus. I urge you to require the credit bureaus to pay hefty fines when they put people's credit at risk. Penalties will require the credit bureaus to take data accuracy more seriously. Please support a policy that requires notification to all consumers harmed by consumer violations made by the credit bureaus and credit score companies. Thanks!
