Are we treaty breakers? Will you condone treaty breaking and illegal impoundment?
In the 1994 Budapest Memorandum, Ukraine agreed to relinquish its nuclear weapons. The US promised to defend Ukraine's territory.
Now Trump is seeking to block the aid you voted for and align with our foe Putin.
Do you approve of treaty breaking with an ally who denuclearised, trusting our promise of protection?
It is morally abhorrent to violate that, or any, treaty.
Do you approve of the President usurping Congress's constitutional power of appropriations, illegally and unconstitutionally blocking aid Congress had approved? If you let this stand, then the President can interfere with anything Congress does. Your compliance will mark the descent of the US into dictatorship.
Do you approve or giving aid and succour to a foe?
I do not approve of any of these. I am horrified, grief stricken and ashamed.
Please reply in writing to let me know whether we should honor treaties and whether you will tolerate Congress ceding its power to the President and complying with an unconstitutional dictatorship.
If you are not willing to honor treaties, prevent a dictatorship, and stand by our allies, I urge you to resign immediately.
