Protect Truth in Education: Reject PragerU Propaganda

I am writing as a constituent deeply concerned about PragerU’s propaganda being promoted as educational material in some states. Their videos and lessons include the disturbing claim that Africans were “better off” enslaved because slavery allegedly kept them “safe.”
This is not education—it is propaganda that distorts history, excuses atrocities, and dishonors the lives of millions of enslaved people and their descendants. Our schools must not be used as a platform for rewriting history to fit an ideological agenda.
As my elected representative, I am asking you to take a clear public stance. Will you denounce PragerU’s propaganda on this issue, and speak out against other attempts to sanitize or rewrite our nation’s history? Students deserve the truth, not carefully packaged falsehoods.
I also urge you to take legislative action to ensure this kind of propaganda cannot be approved as curriculum in our schools. Specifically, I ask that you support measures to:
• Prohibit the use of PragerU materials in state-approved education standards.
• Establish clear guidelines that prevent propaganda from being substituted for history in our classrooms.
• Protect educators who choose fact-based, historically accurate materials from political interference.
We need leaders who will defend truth in education and reject efforts to rewrite history for ideological purposes. I ask you to make your position clear and to support policies that safeguard honest, accurate education.
