An open letter to the U.S. House of Representatives
Enact the Health Share Transparency Act

As my representatives in Congress I want you to know that religious health care sharing schemes have been sold to 1.7 million Americans and that a full 50% of claims are denied for ethical or moral reasons or because the plan just chooses not to cover a bill.
These plans are ministries and not subject to state insurance or consumer protection laws. You can help your constituents by enacting H.R. 3103, the Health Share Transparency Act so that when such plans are sold there is full disclosure to the consumers as to what they are really buying. Moreover, the plans will have to disclose key data, like denial rates, out of pocket costs and full details of complaints made to the FTC.
Look, Universal Healthcare, like H.R. 3069 - the Medicare For All Act, fixes this, but until that passes I want you to enact H.R. 3103, the Health Share Transparency Act. Thank you.
