Like everyone else in America, you know that Donald Trump lost the election. Joe Biden is the next president. No incumbent president has lost by so large a margin since FDR beat Herbert Hoover.
Obstructionism was cute for awhile. Now it is anti-American. There is work to be done to get the transition moving. Pointlessly pretending that Trump was really the winner and that there’s a reason to delay - that will soon put our national security at risk, to say nothing of how utterly ludicrous we look on the world stage.
You are giving our adversaries more cause to laugh at us. You give conspiracy theorists more reason to be psychotic. You make the Republican Party look ever more ridiculous and untrustworthy.
Have some spine. Rediscover your respect for truth. Stand up to Donald Trump and accept the results of our recent, non-fraudulent election. Speak the truth to the American people.
