An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Support trans athletes rights.

2 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

The National Collegiate Athletic Association's policy allowing transgender student-athletes to participate in accordance with their gender identity is crucial for upholding the rights and dignity of these individuals. Denying opportunities to trans athletes based solely on their gender identity would be unethical and discriminatory. Protecting women's sports does not necessitate excluding transgender women, who are women. Scientific evidence shows no inherent competitive advantage when transgender women undergo required hormone therapy. Prioritizing fairness and inclusion aligns with the values of equal opportunity in athletics. As such, I urge maintaining the current NCAA policy to foster an inclusive environment that empowers all student-athletes to compete according to their authentic selves.
