An open letter to the President

Stop Making False Claims About Former Presidents

5 so far! Help us get to 10 signers!

You need to stop lying about conversations with former presidents. On Monday, you claimed twice that a former president told you he wished he had bombed Iran like you did. All four living former presidents denied this through their aides. George W. Bush's team said you haven't been in touch. Bill Clinton's aide confirmed it wasn't him. Barack Obama's aide said no recent conversations happened. A source said it wasn't Joe Biden either. When reporters asked you to name who you spoke with, you refused and made excuses about not wanting to get someone "into trouble." If the conversation actually happened, there would be no reason to hide it. This is a transparent lie meant to justify your military actions by claiming bipartisan support that doesn't exist. Making up conversations with former presidents to bolster your credibility is unacceptable. It undermines public trust and disrespects the office. Tell the truth about your decision-making process or stop making these claims entirely.
