An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Save the National Parks

170 so far! Help us get to 250 signers!

Recent efforts by the Administration to cut National Park staffing at this crucial time is irresponsible. Ever since Covid, National Park attendance has been increasing. Though efforts for crowd control now require scheduled entry passes, the impact of greater ever-increasing crowds is having an adverse effect on infrastructure, cleanliness, and most importantly, natural habitats. The loss of personnel at the parks will likely result in more abuse and damage to these natural wonders, including the increased vandalism to heritage sites and irreplaceable landmarks. I urge you to defy Trump’s plans and support necessary personnel at all National Parks.
