Last week, the Senate Judiciary Committee advanced the Supreme Court Ethics, Recusal, and Transparency Act which would require SCOTUS to “set up a code of conduct, tighten financial disclosures and bolster recusal requirements for justices.” (NBC News,S. Kapur, 7/10/23) Trust in SCOTUS is at an ALL TIME low according to a recent Gallup poll. If Justice Roberts cannot self-correct, it's up to Congress to hold SCOTUS to, at minimum, the same code of conduct as Federal judges.
