An open letter to State Governors & Legislatures (Minn. only)

Protect the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness for future generations.

173 so far! Help us get to 250 signers!

The Boundary Waters Permanent Protection Bill (H.F. 309 & S.F. 875) prohibits sulfide-ore copper mining on State lands in the watershed of the Boundary Waters. This bill would protect the Boundary Waters from the inevitable and devastating damage that sulfide-ore copper mining pollution would cause in the watershed. If nature matters, If ecotourism matters, If endangered species matter, If canoe-camping matters, If canoe-camping businesses in the U.S.A. matter, If our countries most visited wilderness area matters, If fishing matters, If fishing industry businesses matter, If iconic species such as loons and wolves matter, If paying increased taxes for cleanup of pollution matters, If hiking matters, If a long-term thriving economy in northern MN matters, If wildlife viewing matters, If a dark sky sanctuary matters, Vote yes on H.F. 309 and S.F. 875 in the MN legislature!
