Free society in a free world- do you even represent us anymore?

Quick question- does congress truly believe that Americans are so easily distracted that yesterday’s news doesn’t matter anymore once a new day dawns? We are still waiting on a resolution to the blockade in Cuba. People are starving, living in filth. There is disease and a lack of basic hygiene. There is no electricity or food. The United States blockade is an unnecessary cruelty leveraged against an innocent populace based solely on one man’s desire to “take” it for his own. We are not talking about a United States territory here. We are speaking on a sovereign nation that deserves humanitarian aid from its neighbors. Stop the blockade. Heck, stop the embargo! WE THE PEOPLE want a free society in a free world, and historically that matches the American dream. When did our government become totalitarian? Are you even representing us anymore?
